About the Role

Bread is delighted to partner with an independently owned, food-led pub with rooms located near the Suffolk/Essex border. Renowned for its lively atmosphere and consistently high-quality dishes, this venue blends exceptional, locally sourced food with genuine hospitality.We’re looking for a talented Head Chef to take the lead in the kitchen — someone who’s passionate about great ingredients, inspiring teams, and creating memorable dining experiences. You’ll have the freedom to bring fresh ideas to the menu while upholding the high standards that keep guests coming back.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design menus that showcase seasonal, locally sourced produce

  • Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team.

  • Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring precise execution, presentation, and food safety compliance.

  • Manage stock levels, control costs, and reduce waste to maximise profitability.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen that meets all health and safety requirements.

  • Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure a smooth, seamless dining experience for every guest.
