Love being a chef but want time for a life too? This role may be what you’ve been searching for!
We’re looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen at a high-volume, seasonal landmark destination pub on the beautiful East Suffolk coast. With a busy summer trade, loyal locals, and plenty of visitors, this is a well-established venue with a strong reputation for great pub food done properly.
This position offers structure, support, and realistic expectations—without the buzz of a busy, successful kitchen, without the burnout.
The Role:
Lead a fast, well-run kitchen in a landmark venue
Deliver quality, seasonal pub food at volume
Manage menus, GP, and standards with support behind you from a passionate director.
Plan effectively for peak seasonal trade while maintaining balance year-round
Work closely with front-of-house and senior management to keep things running smoothly
You:
A confident, hands-on Head Chef (or strong Senior Sous ready to step up)
Experienced in high-volume service without compromising quality
Organised, calm under pressure, and great with people
Passionate about food, but equally values time outside the kitchen
Comfortable leading a seasonal team and adapting to changing trade levels
What You Get:
Real work-life balance
Competitive salary or a package tailored to you.
Supportive owners & a solid, dedicated kitchen team
Stunning coastal location
Cook great food. Enjoy your days off.
If you love the craft of cooking but don’t want it to be your entire life, look no further and apply by sending your CV to Alex@bread-hospitality.co.uk. We’d love to hear from you!
