We’re supporting this beautiful new opening, food-focused pub that aims to blend relaxed, village-pub charm with high-quality cooking and proper hospitality. Led by the Chef Patron, the kitchen will be the heart of the place but they're just as passionate about creating a front-of-house experience that feels warm, polished, and personal.
We’re looking for a FOH Manager to take charge of the floor and bring the pub to life. While the Chef Patron leads the kitchen, you’ll be the one running the show out front, ensuring service flows smoothly, the team stays upbeat, organised and every guest leaves happy. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who genuinely loves hospitality, knows how to lead a team, and wants to help shape a new opening from day one.
The Role
Running service with confidence and calm, making sure everything feels relaxed but professional
Being the “eyes and ears” of the pub while the chef is in the kitchen
Keeping communication strong between FOH and the kitchen so everything runs smoothly
Setting the tone on the floor, leading by example with warm, attentive hospitality
Assisting with recruitment and training of a friendly, knowledgeable FOH team
Running daily briefs before service, helping with rotas, and keeping everyone motivated
Creating a positive, supportive working environment where people enjoy coming to work
Getting to know regulars, greeting guests, and being a genuine, welcoming presence
Handling feedback in a friendly, solution-focused way
Making sure every detail, from timings to table touches are on point
Managing bookings, table plans, and service flow
Helping with stock checks, ordering, and cash-ups
Ensuring the pub stays on top of health & safety, cleanliness, and licensing requirements
Working closely with the Chef Patron to shape standards, systems, and the overall guest experience
The Person
Experience as FOH Manager or Assistant Manager in a food-led pub or restaurant.
Confident leading a team and running a busy floor
A natural communicator who enjoys working alongside a kitchen team
Calm under pressure, organised, and able to think on your feet
Passionate about good food, good drink, and genuine hospitality
Excited by the idea of helping build a new pub from the ground up
The Package
The chance to be part of an exciting new opening and work closely with a passionate Chef Patron
Real input into how the pub runs and how the guest experience evolves
A competitive salary £32'000 - £35'000 + Tips
Staff meals, training, and opportunities to develop with the business
A supportive, friendly team culture where your ideas matter
