Bakery Team Leader – Artisan Bakery

 

  • Up to £45,000 Salary

  • Autonomy with rota management

  • Volume Sourdough Production

  • Expanding Company

 

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Bakery Team Leader to join an artisan bakery. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is confident leading a team to deliver exceptional quality every day.

 

You will lead and inspire the bakery team, ensuring consistent high standards across production, presentation, and food safety. Alongside managing rotas, staffing, and stock control, you will work closely with Operations and Sales to ensure smooth daily production and wholesale coordination. This is a hands-on position, with active involvement in production when required.

 

The Successful Candidate will have:

 

  • Proven experience in artisan bread baking, including a strong understanding of sourdough production

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a bakery production role

  • Previous team leadership experience

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and allergen compliance

  • Experience managing stock and reducing waste

  • Passion for artisan breads, pastries, and cakes

  • Fantastic communication skills

  • Driving License Preferred
