Assistant General Manager, £43'000, Chelmsford

We’re looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager to join an award-winning team at a Michelin Bib Gourmand Pub & Restaurant. Serving well executed, seasonal British dishes and local craft beers, the team pride themselves on delivering warm, professional hospitality in a refined yet welcoming setting.

The Role

• Support the General Manager in the smooth day-to-day running of the pub

• Lead, train and motivate the team to deliver consistently high standards

• Oversee operations including stock, suppliers, compliance and building upkeep

• Drive efficiency, profitability and guest satisfaction

• Analyse performance metrics to inform business decisions

About You

• Previous AGM (or similar) experience in fine dining or premium hospitality

• Strong organisational and leadership skills

• Hands-on, proactive and guest-focused

• Confident with financials, compliance and hospitality software (e.g. Fourth, Quadranet, MS Office)

• Excellent communication and people management skills
