BREAD is seeking an enthusiastic junior sous chef to join the catering team at a central Cambridge college. You will assist with development, preparation, and service of food to all areas within the business. Ensuring the highest standards are maintained to continue to surprise and delight guests. If you want a fantastic work life balance whilst still cooking with local and fresh ingredients, then this is the role for you! The Responsibilities –
Assist the Sous Chef with leading of a shift as well as supervising staff in the preparation and service of food, always achieving the highest possible standards.
Prepare and cook main course and side order items as required, ensuring the dishes are produced to the agreed standard recipe.
Conduct regular checks of all serveries during the meal period, checking for availability, presentation and cleanliness of the food service area.
Ensure accurate records are kept relating to the food production and wastage, for all service periods.
Prepare food to pre-agreed allergen information and ensure precise allergen information is provided.
The Package –
37.5 hours per week
£30,000 salary
