Bar Manager, Fakenham, Norfolk - Up to £28K + Great Tips!

Bread Hospitality has partnered with an amazing new pub with rooms set by the waters edge, just a stone throw from Fakenham. Set to open its doors for the first time at the end of July, we are seeking an ambitious and experienced Bar Manager to help build and lead an amazing business from the very beginning.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate with a high level of pub, restaurant or hotel bar management experience with an unrivalled passion for food, drink and delivering great service.

As Bar Manager you will be required to deliver amazing customer service whilst building and maintaining a strong rapport with both staff and guests. You will have a real eye for detail and know how to lead by example. You will also have a proven track record of being able to think on your feet and using your own initiative to add something special.

Role -

  • Management of the day to day running of the Bar

  • Greeting and serving guests, making them feel relaxed and at ease and anticipate their needs

  • Communicate front of house needs effectively to both FOH and BOH

  • Provide an attentive, warm and personable service

  • Providing customers with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of all food and drink items on the menu

  • Updating the till systems

  • Creating new cocktails/drinks ideas and ensuring all drinks menus are always up to date

  • Placing all wet orders on a weekly basis

  • Taking responsibility of the cleanliness of the bar and ensuring weekly cleaning tasks get completed

  • Dealing with deliveries and stock rotation

  • Assisting with front of house staff rotas and communicating start times with staff

  • Inspiring, motivating and leading a team of front of house staff. Delegating and disciplining when necessary

  • Complying with sanitation regulations and safety standards


  • Strong people management, development, and mentorship skills

  • Have a minimum of two years’ experience at Bar Management level or equivalent within the pub/restaurant trade.

  • Polished and professional approach to work

  • Great communication skills

  • Willingness to learn and absorb information.

  • Enthusiastic team player

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • High standards of cleanliness and hygiene

  • Able to use POS systems

  • A passion for food and drink
