Bread Hospitality have joined forces with this beautiful, historic Inn nestled in the Essex countryside to help them recruit a creative and ambitious pastry chef.
The ideal candidate would be a real ‘foodie’ with a strong background in pastry, baking and desserts to a minimum 2 Rosette standard as well as assisting the kitchen team in other aspects of kitchen work. We are seeking an ambitious individual, who is passionate about food and ingredients, has great communication skills and has a creative eye for detail.
Prepare and produce all pastry, desserts and sweet related dishes together with bakery items and ensuring items are of a consistently high standard.
Maintain a high service of standard at all times.
Ensure that all Health & Safety legislation and guidelines are implemented, adhered to and reviewed regularly, in respect of kitchen production, employees, machinery, equipment and hygiene.
Ensure all areas are clean and tidy after service.
Order stock ensuring that quality standards and value for money are obtained.
To provide support to other sections of the kitchen as and when required.
Any other reasonable duties as required to fulfill the needs of the business.
