Head Chef, Sudbury, £45'000 OTE

Bread couldn’t be happier to be working with this stunning Pub with rooms right on the Suffolk/Essex border. We’re on the hunt for a personable, calm and creative Senior Sous Chef or Head Chef to lead the kitchen in this cosy and vibrant venue. As Head Chef you will be responsible for creating an inspiring and innovative food offer for the property with an emphasis on locally sourced fresh ingredients. You will be accountable for the overall management of the kitchen operation, including management and mentoring of a young, talented kitchen brigade who are keen to learn as well as monitoring of stock and meeting budgeted financial KPI’s. The Responsibilities….

  • Full day to day management of the kitchen

  • Create an exciting weekly changing specials board.

  • Managing the smooth creation and service of food from the kitchen.

  • You must possess excellent culinary and presentation skills.

  • Managing a full kitchen team – briefing, supervising and motivating team members.

  • Great back-office knowledge when it comes to stock management, recruitment, training and development and other management duties.

  • Having the ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
