Bread Hospitality have partnered with a top end events and catering company based near Royston, Hertfordshire to seek a highly skilled Sous Chef.
As part of the events team, the role will involve prepping at base (nr Royston, Hertfordshire), but then setting up at event sites including stately homes and client homes across the Home counties and Hertfordshire. Hours- 40 hours a week 9am – 5pm during quieter months, but during summer months, opportunity for overtime and weekend work will be necessary. No split shifts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for culinary excellence and a keen eye for detail. You will assist the Executive Chef in providing exceptional food quality and presentation. There will be the opportunity to progress to Head Chef role.

Responsibilities
Oversee and assist the kitchen staff in all aspects of food production.
Evaluate food products to ensure consistent quality standards.
Assisting with Overseeing Stock Control
Liaising with Suppliers
Holding Tastings
Implementing menus for customer requirements
Budgeting
Qualifications
2+ years of culinary or kitchen experienced
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
A wide knowledge of cuisines
Driving licence
Team player
A food enthusiast who loves the job
Able to work under pressure.
Happy to travel to different venues within the local area.
