Event Chef, Royston, Hertfordshire £26'000 - £30'000 + Great Hours

Bread Hospitality have partnered with a top end events and catering company based near Royston, Hertfordshire on the search for a skilled Chef to join their award winning brigade.

As part of the events team, the role will involve prepping at base (nr Royston, Hertfordshire), setting up at event sites including stately homes and client homes across the Home counties and Hertfordshire. Hours - 40 hours a week 9am – 5pm during quieter months, but during summer months, opportunity for overtime and weekend work will be necessary. No split shifts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for culinary excellence and a keen eye for detail. You will assist the existing team in providing exceptional food quality and presentation. There will be the opportunity to progress and grow within the kitchen.

  • Assist the kitchen staff in all aspects of food production.

  • Evaluate food products to ensure consistent quality standards.

  • Assisting with Stock Control

  • Assisting the Head Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes


  • 2+ years of culinary or kitchen experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

  • A wide knowledge of cuisines

  • Driving licence

  • Team player

  • A food enthusiast who loves the job

  • Able to work under pressure.

  • Happy to travel to different venues within the local area.
