We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Catering Team Member to join a forward-thinking independent school. This exciting opportunity focuses on preparing, cooking, and serving evening meals for boarding pupils, while also supporting wider kitchen operations.

You will be working in a fresh food kitchen alongside a supportive, experienced team committed to high standards of service, food quality, and customer care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve the evening meal for boarding pupils

• Work unsupervised, ensuring meals are fresh, nutritious, and well-presented.

• Support day-to-day kitchen operations including meal prep, service, and cleaning.

• Operate tills and provide excellent customer service to pupils, staff, and visitors.

• Comply with food safety, hygiene, and Health & Safety standards.

• Assist with kitchen stock, ordering, and maintaining security.

Essential:

• At least 1 year’s catering or kitchen experience.

• Food handling and preparation skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong focus on cleanliness, hygiene, and customer service.

Desirable:

• Experience in a school catering environment.

• NVQ Level 2 Professional Cookery qualification.

• Interest in engaging with young people and different cultures.
