The Earle Arms is an exciting new pub with a strong focus on great food, exceptional service, quality drinks and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
As a new opening, we have the opportunity to build something special from the ground up. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our team and play a key role in establishing the culture, standards and reputation of The Earle Arms.

The Role
As Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the pub.
You will be a visible and hands-on leader, ensuring that the team consistently delivers excellent food, drinks and service while maintaining the high standards expected at The Earle Arms.
You will take responsibility for the pub in the absence of the General Manager and will be expected to lead from the front, making decisions confidently and ensuring the smooth running of every service.
Key Responsibilities
Support the General Manager with the overall day-to-day operation of The Earle Arms.
Lead, motivate and develop the front-of-house team.
Take responsibility for the business during the General Manager's absence.
Ensure consistently high standards of service, hospitality and guest experience.
Be present and hands-on during busy services, supporting the team wherever required.
Build strong relationships with guests and ensure any issues are dealt with professionally and promptly.
Assist with staff training, inductions and ongoing development.
Help manage rotas, staffing levels and labour costs effectively.
Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, health & safety and food safety.
Support the management of stock, ordering and wastage.
Assist with cash handling, banking and end-of-day procedures.
Help monitor sales, GP and other key business performance indicators.
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure excellent communication between front and back of house.
Help create a positive, respectful and enjoyable working environment.
Support the General Manager with events, promotions and special occasions.
Contribute ideas and initiatives that help grow the business and improve the guest experience.
The Person
We are looking for someone who has genuine hospitality experience and a passion for running great pubs and restaurants.
You will ideally have several years' experience in a supervisory or management position within a quality pub, restaurant or hospitality environment.
You will be:

A natural leader who enjoys developing and motivating people.
Warm, friendly and genuinely passionate about looking after guests.
Commercially aware and comfortable working with sales, costs and targets.
Calm and decisive under pressure.
Organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities.

Hands-on and willing to get stuck in wherever needed.
Someone who takes pride in standards and attention to detail.
Confident managing difficult situations and resolving guest or team issues.
Positive, energetic and able to create a great atmosphere around the team.
Ambitious and keen to progress within a growing hospitality business.
