Hotel General Manager, Suffolk, £66'000 OTE

We're seeking an inspiring and people driven General Manager to lead this award winning hotel. 

With 35 individually designed bedrooms, fine dining restaurant, relaxing bar and snug, this is a rare opportunity to take the helm of a truly fabulous destination that blends historic charm with modern hospitality.

The Role

As General Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the hotel’s success – leading both Front and Back of House teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences, meet ambitious commercial goals, and maintain the highest operational standards. This is a hands-on leadership role, working closely with the Head Chef, Assistant Managers and Housekeeping Manager to ensure seamless service and an unforgettable guest journey.

The Responsibilities

• Inspire, lead, and develop the team to consistently deliver five-star service.

• Be a visible and welcoming host, engaging with guests to create memorable experiences.

• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring excellence across rooms, dining, and retail.

• Recruit, train, and retain talented team members, fostering a positive and high-performing culture.

• Manage financial performance, hitting sales and profit targets.

• Ensure accurate wet stock and cash management.

• Report regularly to senior leadership on performance, challenges, and opportunities.

The Person

• Previous experience as a General Manager in a boutique hotel or luxury hospitality setting (rooms and dining essential).

• A natural leader who inspires, motivates, and leads from the front.

• Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.

• Passionate about guest experience, operational excellence, and team development.
