We’re looking for a hands-on Head Chef to lead a busy café brunch kitchen on the beautiful Suffolk coast, serving freshly prepared, home-cooked food with stunning sea views. Popular with both locals and visiting tourists, the café offers breakfast, brunch, lunch, and afternoon tea — with everything made in-house using fresh, quality ingredients.

 

This role would suit a chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a genuine passion for fresh food, and leads by example. No two days are the same — from quieter winter weekdays to bustling summer market days — so you’ll need to be organised, energetic, calm under pressure, and ready to adapt.

 

We’re looking for someone with previous Senior Chef experience, who is confident running a busy kitchen and motivating a small team. You’ll be happy to roll up your sleeves and get involved in every aspect of kitchen life, from service to clean-down, while maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene and safety.

 

You’ll also bring experience in ordering and stock control, a flair for creating specials and seasonal menus, and a real passion for cooking fresh, high-quality food to order. And, of course, you’ll know exactly how to poach the perfect egg!
